Privacy Policy
The short version
Ledger has no accounts, and we never ask for your name or email. Your workouts stay on your device and in your own iCloud. We collect a small amount of anonymous usage data to improve the app, and you can turn it off at any time.
Your workouts
Your workouts, exercises, sets, notes and progress are stored on your device and synced through your own private iCloud account. We cannot see or access this data. If you delete the app and your iCloud data, it is gone.
What we collect
1. Anonymous usage data (PostHog)
To understand how people use Ledger and where the app can be improved, we record anonymous events, such as which onboarding screens are viewed, when the subscription screen is shown, and when a workout is finished (with counts like number of sets and personal records). Each event comes with a random ID that isn't connected to you, plus basic technical details: device model, iOS version, app version and language. We do not store your IP address.
You can turn this off at any time in Ledger: Settings > Share anonymous usage data.
2. Purchases (Apple and RevenueCat)
Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We never see your payment details. We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions; it receives your purchase history, subscription status, an anonymous ID, and your country and currency. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
3. Ad attribution (Apple Ads)
If you installed Ledger after tapping one of our ads on the App Store, Apple tells us which ad campaign or search term led to the install. This uses Apple's privacy-preserving attribution and does not identify you or track you across other apps or websites.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data. We don't use advertising identifiers or track you across other companies' apps and websites. We don't collect your name, email, contacts, location or health data. We don't show ads.
How long we keep data
We keep anonymous usage data only as long as it helps us improve Ledger. Purchase records are kept as required for subscriptions and accounting.
Your choices and rights
You can turn off usage data in Settings at any time. Because the data we hold isn't linked to your identity, we usually can't look it up by your name. If you have any questions or want something deleted, email us at h.farooq940@gmail.com and we'll do our best to help.
Children
Ledger is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 where that is the local requirement).
